Happy graduation day!!!!! The Columbia High School Class of 2024 152nd Commencement Ceremony will be held tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the Columbia High School Auditorium. Those arriving to the ceremony after 6:30 pm will be directed to an overflow area in the library to view the ceremony via the Livestream. Columbia Borough School District Partners with Positive Coaching Alliance to Benefit Youth Athletes Columbia Borough School District (CBSD) has established a partnership with Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), a national non-profit working to provide all youth and high school athletes a positive, character-building sports experience. The partnership provides CBSD access to PCA’s training for coaches, sports parents, student-athletes, and administrators through live group workshops, online courses, and additional online resources, such as follow-up tips and reminders for using sports as a positive youth development tool. PCA has partnered with roughly 3,500 schools, districts, conferences, youth sports organizations, and park-and-rec departments to create a Development Zone® culture, with the goal of using youth and high school sports to create a positive youth sports experience. "We look forward to working with Columbia Borough School District to create the best possible sports experience for their student-athletes,” said Positive Coaching Alliance President Jason Sacks. “We appreciate the district leadership making a positive high school sports experience a priority for all involved, including student-athletes, coaches, and parents. When sports are done right, we know it can be an amazing opportunity not only to strive to win but more importantly, teach life lessons that will stay with our youth long after their playing days are over.” We are thrilled to partner with Positive Coaching Alliance. This collaboration will enhance the development of our student-athletes by fostering an environment that emphasizes both athletic excellence and personal growth. 🏅🌟 Columbia Track and Field Shines at District III 2A Championship! 🌟🏅 We are incredibly proud to announce that our track and field team represented our district with excellence at the District III 2A Track and Field Championship meet, placing an impressive 4th overall! 🎉 Here are some of our standout individual accomplishments: Brelon Miller: 🥇 1st in long jump (20' 10") 5th in triple jump 🥇 Part of the 4X100m team that placed 1st! Quincy Stewart: 🥇 1st in the 400m race (making him a 2-time 400m district champion) 🥈 2nd in the 200m race 🥇 Part of the 4X100m team that placed 1st!
