Come one, come all to the last Mobile Market for the season at Taylor. The market will have fresh produce and vegetables to offer to anyone. Market opens at 2:50 pm and goes until 4 pm. It will be at the playground entrance to Taylor!

Thursday is October 31st, Halloween! Thursday will be a spirit day where students and staff will be encouraged to wear orange, black, and purple. No costumes or face paint will be allowed.

Winter Sports Physicals will be held on Tuesday, October 29 from 6:00-8:00 pm in the HS Nurse's office. Please bring your completed packet with you!

7th grade students are required by the state of Pennsylvania to have a Dental Exam for the 19-20 school year. If he/she has had a dental exam, please send a copy of the exam into the school nurse. Your dentist may also fax a copy of the exam to the school. This needs to be completed by April 1, 2020. 11th grade students are required by the state of Pennsylvania to have a physical examination. If he/she has had one during this school year, please send a copy to the school nurse. If they have not, please make every effort to have this completed by your child’s physician by April 1, 2020. Dental and Physical Forms are available on the district website under health services, or you may have your student pick-up a form in the health room. On Thursday, October 24, we have an early dismissal. The high school dismisses at 1:00pm and the middle school dismisses at 1:15pm. ALL HALF-DAY and FULL-DAY CTC STUDENTS MUST ATTEND CTC!

Our co-op with Day Spring Academy for soccer is going well. We have one Columbia student playing soccer for them, Jordan Rhoads. Jordan scored a goal and had two assists in a recent game to help the team move on to the 2nd round of districts! Awesome job boys!

FAFSA Completion: On October 30th from 11:00 AM- 3:00 PM a financial aid representative will at Columbia High School to help fill out the FAFSA. Students should come prepared with their one-on-one laptops and know their social security number. Parents and guardians are invited to join this event and are welcome to bring their 2018 tax information to help speed up the financial aid process. Sign up sheets will be posted in student services.

ALL Juniors and Seniors with participate in a Real Life FInancial Literacy Program on Friday, November 1. ALL CTC students will report to the high school on November 1st. All CTCs have been notified. Real Life financial literacy forum is a day long program held at our high school. It consists of a series of activities all intended to help students gain an appreciation for the importance that financial decisions will play in their lives as young adults.

PSAT will be given to all 10th grade students on Wednesday, October 16. We also have approximately 20 students signed up to take the SAT. These students must be on time and in the testing room no later than 8:00am!
