AT the recent 2019-2020 State Thespian conference held at York College, our students made new friends, learned new skills, and got to see some wonderful performances. Both Morgan and Melanie competed and did very well. Melanie Cruz-Bernard sang "Forever" from "Shrek the Musical" for Senior Auditions, scoring 8.9 out of 10 and receiving 2 college scholarship audition invitations. Morgan Williams competed in the ITEA (Thespys) solo musical performance category with "The Winner Takes it All" from "Mama Mia" earning a rating of EXCELLENT. Juliana Anderson represented our troupe in the state student officer selection process. A huge THANK YOU to our drama boosters whose financial support made it possible for us to attend and to Keifer Kemmerly for all his time and encouragement coaching and prepping music! Daniel Torres, a student of Columbia High School, is putting the finishing touches on a rocking chair that he made for his Grandmother. On the back it says, "Familia" and on the front it says, "God is good!"
